Askina Calgitrol Ag is a matrix formulation combines calcium alginate and silver alginate with 10% of bounded water. In contact with exudate, alginate matrix forms a soft gel, which enables the continuous release of silver ions from the entire dressing surface. The concentration of silver ions in the wound is maintained for 7 days at the level of 60ppm.
